Absolutely loved our server. She was very attentive and sweet tempered. The lunch specials were varied and came with teas so it's a bargain. Very nice western decore. Highly recommend!

Found this place on yelp and decided to try it. The reviews I had the fish platter with some onion ring that were amazing. The fish however were a little disappointing, they were small and tasteless. My friend had the enchilada plate and it was delicious. We already plan on going back.

I came specifically because I saw this place on tiktok while scrolling. Saw the size of the chicken fries steak and was like, "No way!. Had an upcoming trip to South texas from Dallas, so decided to hit it up on the way down south. One thing that sucked was the parking. This place is pretty big, but the parking is somewhat small. As soon as I drove up, I saw the place was packed, which is usually a good sign. Found a parking in the back and almost got blacked in because people don't know how to park to leave exits smh. Any walked in and was greeted pretty quick for as busy as it was. I told the hostess that I had a party of 5. Some people had partied of 10 dang! Waited about 10 minutes to get seated. The place was a little stuffy, probably due to the number of people. The server was really nice and patient, but she was getting hammered with all the people she had in her area. I looked over the menu and saw they had a regular chicken fried steak and a Maveric size. Well, guess what u got MAVERIC IT IS! The food took about 20 minutes to come out, and dang, I was not disappointed with the size! The sides had their own plate! Needless to say, I didn't eat it all because I didn't want to be miserable driving to South Texas. I still had a 3 hour drive. The only issue I had was that the chicken fried steak didn't have much flavor, and the corn was not sweet. I was expecting some corn with butter or something they were just thrown on the plate next to the mash potatoes. Anyways I enjoyed the steak. It was actually a pretty good deal, cost me 17 bucks. Chicken fried steak 6 outa 10 don't really think it's the best in TEXAS like tiktok said but the size and price make up for it. Corn 2 outa 10 not much to say about it Mash taters 5 outa 10 the gray and taters were good. Rest of the family got different dishes all in all it cost me about 82ish bucks including tip for 5 people All in all I'd probably come back

The first thing I'm going to say is the grilled zucchini is a must! I'm going to be dreaming about it for the next week. This place is worth the drive from San Antonio for a great meal. My burger was really good with the bacon and grilled jalepenos. The meat had a quality taste as well. My wife's Buffalo chicken was ok, a bit on the dry side. The fries and onion rings were delicious as well. The service was outstanding and I feel bad that I'm putting it last but the food was just top tier. Thanks for a great meal and we will be back soon.

Great service and amazing food. Only complaints would be it was cold and the Mac and cheese was decent. The steak was amazing and totally worth it. Also a huge amount of food so order better or enjoy leftovers. Which I am enjoying a lot.

We have driven by this place for about a year. Always wanted to go by. Finally had time to go. It's right off 181, so you can miss it. There is parking around the front and side, and also more parking a bit farther behind the restaurant. Walked up the front door and you walk into a waiting area, a long corridor to hold the overflow of people waiting. We timed it just right and were seated right away. The decor in the corridor is beer signs and the daily special for the day. Once you walk in, we were greeted by the host. Also more room to wait and sit as soon as you walk out to the hostess station. We got walked around a few corners to our table. Which was a picnic bench type seating area. They also have booths and tables. The restaurant doesn't look big from the outside, but it is really roomy inside. There is a bar section for mixed drinks, and beer in bottles. I just got a Shiner. Our waitress was super polite and helpful on the menu. This was our first time here, so she was gentle. lol. She was honest on what she could eat, and gave us some really good recommendations. Maria got the steak and potatoes, Maria devoured the steak and potato, so I guess it was good. I had the Maverick Meltdown burger, grilled jalapeños, cheese, bacon. Boy, this jalapeños were spicy. The burger came on Texas toast, and was delicious. It didn't fall apart while I was eating. I could actually put the burger down a few time. Came with fries, they were okay. We decided to get the peach cobbler with ice cream. It didn't stand a chance. We both devoured that dessert. There was plenty to pick from the menu, we will definitely be back to try more from the menu. Place was clean. Didn't get to the bathrooms.

Hidden jewel of a restaurant that we happen to stumble upon. It was busy with plenty of locals, city workers, and folks like us who stopped in. The place was cozy and inviting. The menu offered plenty of options, but we opted for their lunch specials. I had the meatloaf, mashed potatoes, green beans, toast, and sweet tea. All for this amazing food for the price of $9.99...WOW!! BEST MEATLOAF EVER!!! The food, service, and place were overall AMAZING and worth the 45-minute drive from our house. We will be back!!!

We have been living in the area now for some time and never had a chance to visit this restaurant. I pass it often, but it never stood out to me. My husband said we should give it a try and this past Thursday, we did. I must admit, I was not feeling the place when we pulled up, even when we got out it smelled like backyard heaven, I was still hesitant. The whole small town backyards restaurant feel makes me on edge. When we walked in the staff greeted us promptly. It is decorated as expected with the name Maverick in small-town Texas. It is roomy inside and was very clean. The waitress was fast and friendly, no complaints there. So let me tell you where I began to warm up to this place and was pleasantly surprised. It was the food. My husband order the country fried steak and mash potatoes and I ordered fried okra and a chef salad. Yall, they brought my husband what looked like half a cow, I swear. I have traveled the world and many states and that was the biggest country fried steak I ever seen. But that's not the most shocking part, he ordered the small one!! The mash potatoes were straight from somebody's grandma house. They were delicious. Now by this time, I am mad for just ordering a chef salad even thought it was amazing. Okay Maverick, I see you! Best know ole girl will be back, but this time I am ordering one of those gigantic burgers I saw someone get.
